In God put your trust – Ephesians 6:11-12, Psalms 62, Psalms 86:15-16
Ephesians 6:11-12
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand (as opposed to falling, stand fast, still) against the wiles (method, art, cunning, device, craft) of the devil.
12 For we wrestle (to us wrestling is) not against (literal direction) flesh (human beings) and blood, but against principalities (beginning; chief ruler), against powers (designated power), against the rulers of the (this) darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness (the spiritual host of the wickedness, the present order of things) in high places.
Psalms 62
62 Truly (surely) my soul (I myself) waiteth (waiteth, in silence) upon God: from (for) him cometh my salvation.
2 He only (truly) is my rock and my salvation (safety from evils); he is my defence; I shall not be greatly moved.
Psalms 62:4-9
5 My soul, wait (wait, in silence) thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him.
6 He only (truly) is my rock and my salvation: he is my defence; I shall not be moved.
7 In (upon) God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge (shelter from danger), is in God.
8 Trust (confide) in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah.
9 Surely (truly) men of low degree are vanity (a breath), and men of high degree are a lie: to be laid in the balance, they are altogether lighter than vanity.
10 Trust not in oppression, and become not vain in robbery: if riches increase, set not your heart upon them.
11 God hath spoken once; twice have I heard this; that power (strength) belongeth unto God.
12 Also unto thee, O Lord, belongeth mercy (grace): for thou renderest to eve
Psalms 86:15-16
15 But thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion, and gracious, long suffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth.
