Judgement? – 1 Corinthians 6:9-13, 1 Corinthians 4:1-4
1 Corinthians 6:9-13,
9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,
10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.
11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed (cleansed by washing), but ye are sanctified (set or placed in a state corresponding to God’s nature), but ye are justified (set forth as righteous) in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the spirit (holy spirit) of our God.
12 All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient (to be profitable, advantageous): all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.
13 Meats for the belly, and the belly for meats: but God shall destroy both it and them. Now the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body.
1 Corinthians 4:1-4
Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God.
2 Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.
3 But with (for) me it is a very small thing that I should be judged (examined) of you, or of man’s judgment (man’s day): yea, I judge (examine) not mine own self.
4 For I know (am conscience of) nothing by myself; yet am I not hereby (in this) justified (set forth as righteous): but he that judgeth (examines) me is the Lord.
5 Therefore judge (pronounce sentence) nothing before (in front of place) the time (season), until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God.
