1357. Be a light – daily bible verse
Be a light – Matthew 7:1-5, Matthew 5:14-16
Matthew 7:1-5
7 Judge not, that ye be not judged.
2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.
3 And why beholdest thou the mote (a dust or splinter) that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam (a great fault or vice) that is in thine own eye?
4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote (a dust or splinter) out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam (a great fault or vice) is in thine own eye?
5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam (a great fault or vice) out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote (a dust or splinter) out of thy brother’s eye
Matthew 5:14-16
14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
