You’re reconnected and have the ability – 2 Corinthians 5:1-7, 2 Corinthians 5:17-19
2 Corinthians 5:1-7
5 For we know that if our earthly (of earth, terrestrial) house of (that is to say) this tabernacle (tent) were dissolved (loosen down, ununited), we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.
2 For in this we groan (as in distress), earnestly desiring to be clothed upon (to put on over) with our house (a habitation) which is from heaven:
3 If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked.
4 For we that are in this tabernacle (the tent) do groan (as in distress) being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality (the mortal thing) might be swallowed up (to drink down) of (by the) life.
5 Now he that hath wrought (effect, achieved) us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit (gifts of the holy spirit) .
6 Therefore we are always confident (good courage, be full of faith and hope), knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body (organic basis of human nature), we are absent from the Lord:

2 Corinthians 5:17-19
17 Therefore if any man be in (resting within) Christ (the messiah), he is (there is) a new creature (creation): old things (the ancient things) are passed away; behold, all things (they) are become new (freshly new).
18 And all things (as a whole) are of God, who hath reconciled (reconnected) us to himself by Jesus Christ (the messiah), and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation (the reconnection);
19 To wit, that God was in (resting within) Christ (the messiah), reconciling (reconnecting) the world (kosmos: the arrangement) unto himself, not imputing (counting) their trespasses (the falling aside) unto them; and hath committed unto (placed in) us the word (logos: the spoken word as connected to the inner thoughts) of reconciliation (reconnection).5 For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.
