Give and listen – 2 Corinthians 9:6-10, 2 Corinthians 10:3-6
2 Corinthians 9:6-10
6 But this I say, He which soweth sparingly (frugally) shall reap also sparingly (frugally); and he which soweth bountifully (upon blessing) shall reap also bountifully (upon blessing).
7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly (of grief), or of necessity: for God loveth (blessed) a cheerful giver.
8 And God is able (is mighty) to make all grace abound toward (unto) you; that ye, always having all (self) sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:
9 (As it is written, He hath dispersed abroad; he hath given to the poor: his righteousness remaineth for ever.
10 Now he that ministereth (liberally suppliers) seed to the sower both minister (liberally suppliers) bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;)
11 Being enriched (made rich) in every thing to all bountifulness (simplicity, sincerity of mind, freedom from sinister design), which causeth through us thanksgiving to God.
2 Corinthians 10:3-6
3 For though we walk (course of life) in (remaining within) the flesh (carnal nature), we do not war after (according to) the flesh (carnal nature):
4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty (morally and physically powerful) through (by) God to the pulling down (destruction) of strong holds (fortresses);)
5 Casting down (taking down) imaginations (reasonings) , and every high thing (high position, height) that exalteth itself (lift up oneself) against the knowledge (true and personal relationship with an object, where you hear from that object and heed its advice) of God, and bringing into captivity (seek to lead captive) every thought (purposed thought) to the obedience (hearing attentively) of Christ;
6 And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience (that which has been neglected or refusal to hear, hence sin of omission regarding the rule of duty), when your obedience (a hearing attentively) is fulfilled (to make full, complete, accomplished).
