1 Thessalonians 2:2:13
13 For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually (is made energetic) worketh also in you that believe.
Acts 17:10-12
10 And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews.
11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.
12 Therefore many of them believed; also of honourable women which were Greeks, and of men, not a few.
Hebrews 4:12
12 For the word (spoken word) of God is quick (living), and powerful (strength and effectual in operation), and sharper (more cutting) than (above) any twoedged sword, piercing even (passing through) to the dividing asunder (the act of dividing) of soul and spirit (differentiating between that which is begotten of the flesh and that which is begotten of the spirit), and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner (skilled in judging) of the thoughts (secret motives and emotional revolving of the mind) and intents (what is in the mind, idea) of the heart (the seat of one’s distinctive character).
Galatians 5:1
5 Stand fast (stand, stand firm) therefore in the liberty (freedom to go where one wants) wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage (servitude).
