Asking God, in the name of Jesus Christ – John 16:22, Ephesians 3:20, 1 John 5:14-15
John 16:22
22 And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you.
23 And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.
24 Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive (lambano – receive what is given), that your joy may be full.
Ephesians 3:20
20 Now unto him that (who) is able to do exceeding abundantly (infinitely beyond abundance) above all (things) that we ask or think (the implied pleading for cause), according to the power that worketh in us,
1 John 5:14-15
14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will (desire), he heareth us:
15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of Him.
