Stand in liberty – 1 Corinthians 6:1-13, Romans 10:9-10, Galatians 5:1, 2 Peter 1:2
1 Corinthians 6:1-13
8 Nay, ye do wrong, and defraud, and that your brethren.
9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,
10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.
11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed (cleansed by bathing), but ye are sanctified (set or placed in a state corresponding to God’s nature) but ye are justified (set forth as righteous) in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by (remaining within) the Spirit (holy spirit) of our God.
12 All things are lawful unto me, but (not) all things are not expedient (profitable): all things are lawful for (to) me, but I will not be brought (to have authority) under the power of any.
13 Meats for the belly, and the belly for meats: but God shall destroy both it and them…
Romans 10:9-10
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Galatians 5:1
5 Stand fast therefore in the liberty (freedom to to go where one will) wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage (servitude).
