Love, live in the spirit and walk building a relationship with God – Ephesians 4:1-7, Ephesians 4:13-14, 17, Ephesians 4:21-24

Ephesians 4:1-7

4 I therefore, the prisoner of (resting within) the Lord (Jesus Christ), beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation (calling) wherewith ye are (were) called (summoned),

² With (In company with) all lowliness (humility) and meekness (enduring with an even temper), with longsuffering, forbearing (bearing with) one another in (remaining within) love;

³ Endeavouring (studying) to keep the unity (oneness) of the Spirit (holy spirit) in (resting within) the bond (that which binds to together) of (the) peace.

⁴ There is one body, and one Spirit (new spiritual nature), even as ye are called (summoned) in (resting within) one hope (expectation of future good) of your calling;

⁵ One Lord (master Jesus Christ), one faith (firm persuasion, conviction), one baptism,

⁶ One God and Father of all, who is above (with dignity and power) all, and through (the dividing line) all, and in (resting within) you all.

⁷ But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ (the messiah).

Ephesians 4:13-14, 17

¹³ Till we all come in the unity (oneness) of the faith (firm, pursuant, conviction), and (even) of the knowledge (perfect knowledge) of the Son (the heir) of God, unto (motion to) a perfect (complete) man, unto (motion to) the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

¹⁴ That we henceforth be (may be) no more (no longer) children (not old enough to speak), tossed to and fro (surging about as waves), and carried about (born hither and thither) with every wind (air in motion) of doctrine (the teaching), by (remianing within) the sleight (entrapping by deceit) of men, and cunning craftiness (with subtlety), whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

Ephesians 4:21-24

²¹ If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus:

²² That ye put off (put away) concerning (with the ultimate purpose) the former (before) conversation (manner of life) the old man (Adam nature), which is corrupt (being corrupted) according to the deceitful lusts (sinful desires);

²³ And be renewed (implies that the whole course of life now flows in a different direction) in the spirit of your mind (reflective conscious);

²⁴ And that ye put on (like a tee shirt) the new man (new spiritual nature), (that) which after (along the same motion) God is (was) created in (remaining within) righteousness and true (of the truth) holiness (godliness).
