Colossians 2:1-10

For I would that ye knew what great conflict I have for you, and for them at Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh;

That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches (abounding riches) of the full assurance (the trust and conviction) of understanding (reflective insight or thought), to the acknowledgement (acquaintance with) of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of (even) Christ;

In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom (the right application of knowledge) and knowledge (acquired by learning).

And this I say, lest any man should beguile you with enticing words.

For though I be absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit, joying and beholding your order, and the stedfastness of your faith in Christ.

As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him:

Rooted (to take root) and built up (built like a house) in (resting within) him, and stablished (to confirm, to ratify) in (by) the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding (more than enough) therein with thanksgiving.

Beware lest any man (someone there) spoil you (leading you off as prey) through philosophy (love of wisdom) and vain deceit (false information), after the tradition of men, after the rudiments (elementary rules) of the world (kosmos), and not after Christ.

For in him dwelleth (fixed position) all the fulness of the Godhead (divine) bodily (body).

10 And ye are complete (fully furnished) in him, which (who) is the head of all principality (rulers) and power (authority, liberty and the right to put forth power):

Colossians 1:10-11

10 That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;

11 Strengthened with all might (inherent), according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;

Stand firm and be not persuaded
