1525. Be reconnected to God
Be reconnected to God – Romans 5:3-5, Philippians 4:4-6, 2 Corinthians 5:14-21
Romans 5:3-5
3 And not only so, but we glory (rejoice also) in (resting within) tribulations (pressure, compression, hence pressure from evil, affliction, stress) also: knowing that tribulation worketh (effects) patience (patient enduring);
4 And patience (patient enduring), experience (the state of being tried or having been tried); and experience (the state of being tried or having been tried), hope (expectations of future good):
5 And hope (expectations of future good) maketh not ashamed (cause shame); because the love (agape) of God is shed abroad (to shed blood, to pour out, to kill) in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is (was) given unto us.
Philippians 4:4-6
4 Rejoice (be delighted, pleased) in (resting within) the Lord (Christ) always: and again I say, Rejoice.
5 Let your moderation (forbearance and consideration) be known (experientially known) unto all men. The Lord (Christ) is at hand.
6 Be careful (anxious)l for nothing (not one thing); but in every thing (all things) by prayer (prayers to God) and supplication (specific prayers of need) with thanksgiving let your requests (specific requests) be made known (declare) unto God.
7 And the peace (state of wellbeing) of God, which passeth (surpassing) all understanding (thought), shall keep (garrison or fortify) your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest (dignified), whatsoever things are just (righteous), whatsoever things are pure (free from every defilement), whatsoever things are lovely (dear to anyone), whatsoever things are of good report (well spoken, well worded); if there be any virtue (good, quality, excellence), and if there be any praise, think on these things
2 Corinthians 5:14-21
14 For the love of (the messiah) Christ constraineth (to hold, to keep together, to secure) us; because we thus judge (judging this), that if one died for all, then were all dead (died):
15 And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth (no longer) live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.
16 Wherefore henceforth (from now) know we no man (one) after the flesh (according to the old nature): yea, though (even if) we have known Christ after the flesh (according to the old nature), yet now henceforth know we him no more (no longer).
17 Therefore if any man be in (resting within) Christ (the messiah), he is (there is) a new creature (creation): old things (the ancient things) are passed away; behold, all things (they) are become new (freshly new).
18 And all things (as a whole) are of God, who hath reconciled (reconnected) us to himself by Jesus Christ (the messiah), and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation (the reconnection);
19 To wit, that God was in (resting within) Christ (the messiah), reconciling (reconnecting) the world (kosmos: the arrangement) unto himself, not imputing (counting) their trespasses (the falling aside) unto them; and hath committed unto (placed in) us the word (logos: the spoken word as connected to the inner thoughts) of reconciliation (reconnection).
20 Now then we are ambassadors (to be an elder, take precedence) for Christ (the messiah), as though God did beseech you (is beseeching) by us: we pray you in Christ’s (the messiah) stead, be ye reconciled to God.
21 For He hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no (not) sin; that we might be (become) made the righteousness of God in him.
