Trust God’s word – 2 Peter 1:2, 2 Peter 1:20-21, 2 Peter 2:9-, 1 John 2:26-27
2 Peter 1:2
2 Grace (God’s loving disposition) and peace (the state of undisturbed well being) be multiplied (make you full) unto you through (through the instrument of) the knowledge (a true and personal relationship and heed the advice) of God, and of Jesus our Lord
2 Peter 1:20-21
20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is (born or become) of any private (one’s own individual) interpretation.
21 For the prophecy came not in old time (at any time) by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost (divine power).
2 Peter 2:9
9 The Lord knoweth how to deliver (rescue) the godly out of temptations (a putting to the test, proof, trail), and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:
1 John 2:26-27
26 These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you.
27 But the anointing (rubbed in or smeared on, referring to the old testament practice and reminding of the calling or rank) which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.
