Call to designate or name Jesus Christ – Romans 10:8-12; 1 Corinthinians 4-7

Romans 10:9-13

⁸ But what saith it? The word (specific words) is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word (specific words) of faith, which we preach;

⁹ That if thou shalt confess (agree, admit) with thy mouth the Lord Jesus (Jesus as Lord), and shalt believe in thine heart (the seat of life) that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved (made sound, preserved safe).

¹⁰ For with the heart (seat of life) man believeth (it is believed) unto (motion to) righteousness; and with the mouth confession (it is confessed) is made unto (motion to) salvation.

¹¹ For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed (put to shame).

¹² For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over (of) all is rich unto all that call upon (to call to, to name, to designate) him.

¹³ For whosoever shall call upon (to call to, to name, to designate) the name of the Lord shall be saved.

1 Corinthians 1:4-5

⁴ I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ;

⁵ That in every thing ye are enriched (made rich) by (resting within) him, in all utterance (the spoken word), and in all knowledge;

⁶ Even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed (established) in you:

⁷ So that ye come behind (are not lacking) in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ:
