God comforts those that are lowly – 2 Corinthians 7:4-6; 2 Corinthians 7:9-10

2 Corinthians 7:4-6

4 Great is my boldness of speech toward you, great is my glorying of you: I am filled with comfort, I am exceeding joyful in all our tribulation.

5 For, when we were come into Macedonia, our flesh had no rest, but we were troubled on every side; without (outwardly) were fightings (a battle), within were fears.

6 Nevertheless God, that comforteth (to call aside, to appeal to) those that are cast down, comforted us by the coming of Titus;

2 Corinthians 7:9-10

9 Now I rejoice, not that ye were made sorry (grief), but that ye sorrowed (grieved) to repentance (a real change of mind from sin itself; change of moral thought, from sin nature to spiritual nature; always for the better): for ye were made sorry (grieved) after a godly manner (according to God), that ye might receive damage (suffer loss) by us in nothing.

10 For godly sorrow (grief) worketh (to work out) repentance (a real change of mind from sin itself….) to salvation not to be repented (regretted) of: but the sorrow (grief) of the world worketh death.
