God knows you and easily moves you – Proverbs 21:1-4
Proverbs 21:1-4
21 The king’s heart is in the hand of the Lord, as the rivers of water: he turneth (directeth it easily) it whithersoever he will.
Bullinger: Palgey mayim: the divisions of water (in a garden). The name given to the small channels which divide up an eastern (walled) garden for the purposes of irrigation.
2 Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the Lord pondereth (weighs and thus testeth) the hearts.
3 To do justice and judgment (righteousness) is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice.
4 An high look, and a proud heart, and the plowing (tillage) of the wicked, is sin.
Bullinger: A lofty look and a proud heart, (which is) the tillage of the lawless (is more acceptable to them than) the sin offering.
