God sets up the authority

Marvel not at violent perverting of judgement and justice

Ecclesiastes 5:7-8

⁷ For in the multitude of dreams and many words there are also divers vanities: but fear thou God.

⁸ If thou seest the oppression of the poor, and violent perverting of judgment and justice in a province, marvel not at the matter: for he that is higher than the highest regardeth; and there be higher than they.

God sets up the authority

Romans 13:1

13 Let every soul be subject unto the higher (supreme) powers (authority). For there is no power (authority) but (if not) of God: the powers that be are ordained (appointed) of God.

We wrestle not against human beings but against spiritual wickedness

Ephesians 6:10-13

¹⁰ Finally (From henceforth), my brethren, be strong (empowered) in (resting within) the Lord, and in (resting within) the power (exhorted strength) of his might.

¹¹ Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand (as opposed to falling, stand fast, stand still) against the wiles (method, art, cunning device, craft) of the devil.

¹² For we wrestle (for to us the wrestling is) not against (literal direction) flesh and blood (human beings), but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers (chief ruler) of the this darkness (the prescribed order of things) of this world (the heavenlies), against (the) spiritual wickedness (host of the wickedness) in high places (the heavenlies).
