Hebrews 11:1; 11:17-19; Proverbs 15:1-2
1 Now faith (them that believe) s the substance (that which lies at the foundation of a matter, the foundation) of things hoped (a confidence) for, the evidence (the proof) of things not seen.
17 By faith (believing specifically what you hear) Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and he that had received the promises offered up his only begotten son,
18 Of whom it was said, That in Isaac shall thy seed be called:
19 Accounting (reckoning) that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead; from whence also he
received him in a figure (did even in a figure receive him back).
15 A soft (tender) answer turneth away wrath: but grievous (bitter, cutting, violent) words stir up (cause to burn, ascend up) anger.
