Romans 12:21
21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.
Romans 8:6-9
6 For to be carnally (minding the flesh) minded is death (state); but to be spiritually minded is life and peace (state of undisturbed well being).
7 Because the carnal (minding of the flesh) mind is enmity against (motion towards) God: for it is not subject (does not submit itself) to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
8 So then they that are in (resting within) the flesh (the old nature) cannot please (be pleasing or acceptable) God.
9 But ye are not in (resting within) the flesh (the old nature), but in the Spirit (the new spiritual nature), if so be that the Spirit (the new spiritual nature) of God dwell (remains, abides) in (resting within) you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

6 For for this cause pay ye tribute (taxes) also: for they are God’s ministers, attending continually upon this very thing.
