How to walk

Romans 12:9-18

9 Let love be without dissimulation (unfeigned, without hypocrisy). Abhor that which is (the) evil; cleave (cleaving to the good) to that which is good.

10 Be kindly affectioned (like a family) one to another with brotherly love (love for the brethren); in honour preferring one another (in every honorable matter leading one another on);

11 Not slothful (slow, tardy) in business (serious purpose); fervent (boiling hot) in (resting within) spirit (spiritual character manifested in your actions); serving the Lord;

12 Rejoicing in hope (the hope: the expectation of future good); patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;

13 Distributing (communicating or partaking) to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality (kindness to strangers).

14 Bless them which persecute (try to see you in pain, injury, distress) you: bless, and curse not.

15 Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.

16 Be of the same mind (be in brotherly sympathy with) one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend (be carried away with) to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits (in your own eyes).

17 Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men.

18 If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.
