In regards to pride

IN REGARDS TO PRIDE

1 Co 4:6 “… that ye might learn in us not to think of man above that which is written, that no one of you be puffed up one against another.”

1 Co 4:7 “For who taketh thee to differ, and what hast thou that though didst not receive, why doest thou glory? As if thou hadst not received it.

I love this scripture. Why are ye puffed up? Why are ye inflated? Why are ye prideful? For who is it that makes you different from each other? And what you have, did you no receive it from God? Therefore, why do ye glory? Why do ye speak loud? Why do ye boast? Why do ye vaunt yourself as if ye did no receive?

God is the giver, you are merely the husbandman.

GOD GIVETH THE INCREASE

1 Co 3:6 “I have planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase.”

1 Co 3:7 “so then neither he that planteth anything, neither he that watereth, but God that giveth the increase.

We work and God gives… it’s very simple. Therefore, why do ye have pride? Why act ye inflated? It’s beautiful how he puts this together.

HOW PAUL WAS TREATED

1 Co 4:11 “Even unto this present hour we both hunger, and thirst and are naked, and are buffeted and have no certain dwelling place.”

Paul, the man who did so much for God’s word… look at the fruit God was giving him. Therefore, don’t look down upon those without, be ye thankful for what you have and don’t be high minded or arrogant about it.
