Proverbs 19:1-2

19 Better is the poor (a needy one) that walketh in his integrity, than he that is perverse (distorted hence false) in his lips (figurative for what is spoken thereby), and is a fool.

2 Also, that the soul be without knowledge (being cunning, aware) it is not good; and he that hasteth (to press, hasten) with his feet (euphemism: genitals) sinneth.

Proverbs 1:7

7 The fear (reverential awe) of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

Proverbs 19:3

3 The foolishness of man (adam) perverteth (to overthrow a foundation) his way: and his heart fretteth (be angry, sad) against the Lord (Jehovah).

Proverbs 19:11

11 The discretion (intelligence, prudence) of a man deferreth (to delay, put off, postpone) his anger; and it is his glory (spendor or brightness) to pass over (to cover) a transgression.
