Galatians 4:17

¹⁹ My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you,

3b. You’re a child until you understand that we are not under the law –

Galatians 4:1-17

4 Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all;

² But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father.

³ Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage (enslaved) under the elements (elementary rules) of the world (Kosmos: the arrangement):

⁴ But when the fulness of the time was come (came), God sent forth his Son, made (to come into existence) of a woman, made under the law,

⁵ To redeem (to buy out) them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons (sonship).

⁶ And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit (new spiritual nature) of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.

⁷ Wherefore thou art no more (no longer) a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ (through God).

⁸ Howbeit (But (the marking of opposition) then, when ye knew not God, ye did service (in bondage to, enslaved) unto them which by nature are not gods.

⁹ But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known (gnosis: experiential learning) of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage?

When you’re a child, you’ll speak as a child, but as a man, you’ll put away childish things

1 Co 13:11

¹¹ When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
