Love is the fulfillment of the law
Love is the fulfillment of the law – Romans 13:10-14
Romans 13:10-14
10 Love worketh (brings to pass) no ill (evil) to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling (fulfilling or fulness) of the law.
11 And that, knowing the time (season), that now it is high time to (be awakened) awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation (safety) nearer than when we believed.
12 The night is far spent (advanced), the day is at hand (absence of light) : let us therefore cast off the works of darkness (absence of light), and let us put on the armour of (the) light.
13 Let us walk honestly (decently), as in the day; not in rioting (a carousing or merry-making after dinner) and drunkenness, not in chambering (to lie down in a bed, a marriage bed) and wantonness (excess or lewdness), not in strife (rivalry or contention) and envying (jealousy).
14 But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision (providing preperation) for the flesh (the old nature), to fulfil the lusts (sinful desires towards man’s depraved nature) thereof.
