NT – Be content – learn to be content

BE CONTENT – LEARNING TO BE CONTENT

1 Co 7: 18 “Is any man called being circumcised? Let him not become uncircumcised. Is any called in uncircumcision? Let him not be circumcised.”

How you are called is how you are called. If you are called in uncircumcision (as a gentile) therein God has called you. He doesn’t require religious works… how you are called and who you are is the way He wants you to be.

1 Co 7:19 “Circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing, but the keeping of the commandments of God.”

The reason for curcumcision was Abraham doing what God commanded. The act of circumcision is in itself nothing without God telling him to do it.

1 Co 7:20 “Let every man abide in the same calling wherein he was called.”

Live in the place where God called you. You need to do no more or no less.. If God calls you to sweep trees the rest of your life, be content for he has a purpose. However, God wants the best for his children and if you pray and lean on him and his son Jesus Christ, you can set your expectation that ye WILL be risen up when the time is correct..

1 Co 7:21 “Art thou called a servant? Care not for it, but if thou mayest be made free, us it rather.”

1 Co 7:22 “For he that is called in the Lord, being a servant, is the Lord’s freeman: likewise also he that is called, being free is Christ’s servant.”

1 Co 7:23 “Ye are bought with a price; be not the servants of man.”

If you’re called as a servant, don’t worry about it… don’t think about it… but if you’re made free, use it rather. For if you are called you are to look to Jesus Christ and be his servant. You’re no the servant of man… therefore, don’t look on worldly things. You are in service to Christ and he wants you where you are. If he wants to lift you up he will.

1 Co 7: 24 “Bretheren, let every man, wherein he is called, therein abide with God.”

Live or abide where God calls you and be blessed.
