Owe no one anything but love

Owe no one anything but love – Romans 13:8-14

Romans 13:8-14

Owe no man (one) any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.

For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour (any member of the human family, fellow man) as thyself.

10 Love worketh (brings to pass) no ill (evil) to his neighbour (any member of the human family, fellow man): therefore love is the fulfilling (fulfillment or fullness) of the law.

11 And that, knowing the time (season), that now it is high time (hour) to awake (to be awakened) out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.

12 The night is far spent (advanced), the day is at hand (draws nigh): let us therefore cast off the works of darkness (absence of light), and let us put on the armour of light.

13 Let us walk honestly (decently), as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness (excess or lewdness), not in strife (rivalry and contention) and envying (jealously).

14 But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision (providing preparation) for the flesh (old nature), to fulfil the lusts thereof.
