1307. We are a blessed generation – daily bible verse

We are a blessed generation – Romans 3:23-31, Romans 4:1-8

Romans 3:23-31

²³ For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

²⁴ Being justified (set forth as rightough) freely (as a free gift) by (resting within) his grace through the redemption (deliverance of the soul from sin, the body from the grace) that is in Christ Jesus:

²⁵ Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation (the covering of sin by means of sacrifice; the place) through faith in his blood, to (for) declare (a declaration of) his righteousness for the remission (suspension of punishment) of sins that are past (previously committed), through (resting within) the forbearance (self restraint, delay) of God;

²⁶ To (with view to an end) declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just (righteous), and the justifier (set forth as righteous) of him which believeth in Jesus.

²⁷ Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what (what manner of) law? of works? Nay: but by the (a) law of faith.

²⁸ Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.

You are righteous without the works of the law

Romans 4:1-8

4 What shall we say then that Abraham our father, as pertaining to the flesh, hath found?

² For if Abraham were justified (set forth as righteous) by works, he hath whereof to glory (he has something to boast about); but not before God.

³ For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.

⁴ Now to him that worketh (labor) is the reward not reckoned (counted) of grace, but of debt.

⁵ But to him that worketh (labor) not, but believeth on him that justifieth (set forth as righteous) the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

⁶ Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth (count) righteousness without works (labor),

⁷ Saying, Blessed ( are they whose iniquities (violations of the law) are forgiven (dismissed), and whose sins are covered (covered over, hidden).

⁸ Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute (count) sin.
