We have the ability to activate God’s power – Ephesians 3:14-19, Colossians 1:9-12
Ephesians 3:14-19
14 For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
15 Of (out from) whom the whole (every) family in heaven and earth is named,
16 That (in order that) he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened (make powerful in effect) with might (dynamis – inherent power, CAPABILITY of anything, ABILITY to perform anything; then absolutely, not metered power capable of action) by his Spirit (holy spirit) in the inner (the within) man;
17 That Christ (the Christ) may dwell (to settle down in a fixed dwelling, the place) in your hearts by (through) faith; that (in order that) ye, being rooted (to take root) and grounded (founded) in love,
18 May be (fully able) able to comprehend (comprehend for one’s self) with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;
19 And to know (experientially know) the love of Christ (the messiah), which passeth knowledge (gnosis – experiential knowledge), that ye might be filled (to fulfill, accomplish) with all the fulness of God.
Colossians 1:9-12
9 For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge (being acquainted with) of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;
10 That ye might (To) walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful (fruit bearing) in every good work, and increasing in (by) the knowledge (experiential knowledge) of God;
11 Strengthened with all might (dynamis – inherent power, CAPABILITY of anything, ABILITY to perform anything; then absolutely, not metered power capable of action), according to his glorious power (the might of his glory) unto (motion to) all patience (patient enduring) and longsuffering (long before angry, forbearance) with (in company with) joyfulness;
12 Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet (enabled us or made us efficient) to be partakers (for the share) of the inheritance of the saints in (the) light:
