783. You exceed in glory, you are sufficient – daily bible verse
You exceed in glory, you are sufficient – 2 Corinthians 3:1, 5-9, Psalms 147:2-5
2 Corinthians 3:1, 5-9
3 Do we begin again to commend (represent as worthy) ourselves? or need we, as some others, epistles of commendation (commendatory letters) to you, or letters of commendation from you?
5 Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency (ability, fitness) is of (out from the origin) God;
6 Who also hath made us able ministers (also) of the (a) new testament (covenant); not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.
7 But if the ministration (ministry; service a minister renders) of death, written and engraven in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not stedfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away:
8 How shall not the ministration (ministry; service a minister renders) of the spirit be rather glorious?
9 For if the ministration (ministry; service a minister renders) of condemnation (judgment against) be glory, much more doth the ministration (ministry; service a minister renders) of righteousness (uprightness) exceed in glory.
Psalms 147:2-5
2 The Lord doth build up Jerusalem: he gathereth together the outcasts of Israel.
3 He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.
4 He telleth the number of the stars; he calleth them all by their names.
5 Great is our Lord, and of great power: his understanding is infinite.
