Stand on one verse today – Proverbs 27:2, 17; Proverbs 28:11, 23, 25
Proverbs 27:2, 17
2 Let another man praise thee, and not thine own mouth; a stranger, and not thine own lips.
17 Iron sharpeneth iron (used for the hardness and firmness); so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.
Proverbs 28:11, 23, 25
11 The rich man is wise in his own conceit (eyes); but the poor that hath understanding searcheth him out.
23 He that rebuketh (gives sharp criticism) a man afterwards shall find more favour than he that flattereth with the tongue.
25 He that is of a proud heart stirreth up strife: but he that putteth his trust in the Lord shall be made fat.
