Stay content and love your neighbor – 1 Timothy 6:1-8, Romans 2:1, 1 Timothy 6:11-12

1 Timothy 6:1-8

Let as many servants as are under the yoke count their own masters worthy of all honour, that the name of God and his doctrine be not blasphemed.

And they that have believing masters, let them not despise them, because they are brethren; but rather do them service, because they are faithful and beloved, partakers of the benefit. These things teach and exhort.

If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words (sound), even the words (those) of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine (the substance of teaching) which is according (with duration) to godliness;

He is proud (puffed up), knowing nothing, but doting (sick deceased) about questions and strifes of words, whereof (out of which) cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,

Perverse disputings of men of corrupt (corrupted as to their) minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain (means of making money, financial) is godliness: from such withdraw thyself (depart).

But godliness with contentment (sufficiency with oneself, satisfied with your lot) is great gain.

For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.

And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.

Romans 2:1

Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things.

1 Timothy 6:11-12

11 But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness (decree of aquittal), godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness (meek, gentle, enduring all things).

12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.
