Proverbs 22:1

22 A GOOD NAME is rather to be chosen than great riches, and LOVING FAVOR rather than silver and gold.

² The rich and poor meet together: the Lord is the maker of them all.

³ A prudent (cunning and crafty) man foreseeth the evil, and hideth (to hide by covering be absent, conceal) himself: but the simple (artless, unsuspecting) pass on, and are punished (suffer for it, pays the penalty).

⁴ By humility (the reward of humility that is the fear of Jehovah) and the fear of the Lord are riches, and honour, and life.

⁵ Thorns and snares are in the way of the froward: he that doth keep his soul shall be far from them.

Mathew 13:22

²² He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.

²³ But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.

⁶ Train up a child in the way he should go (to hedge in, like cattle, a narrow path): and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

⁷ The rich ruleth over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender.

⁸ He that soweth (seeders) iniquity (trickery) shall reap vanity (to exert oneself, usually in vain; to come to nought): and the rod of his anger shall fail.

⁹ He that hath a bountiful eye shall be blessed; for he giveth of his bread to the poor.

¹⁰ Cast out the scorner (devicive, scornful, mocking), and CONTENTION shall go out; yea, strife and reproach shall cease.

Proverbs 17:14

¹⁴ The beginning of strife (the big argument) is as when one letteth out water (breaching of a damn): therefore leave off contention (the small arguments), before it be meddled with (gatherers volume).
