Ephesians 4:11-14

¹¹ And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

¹² For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

¹³ Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and (even) of the knowledge (perfect knowledge) of the Son of God (“the heir”), unto a perfect (complete) man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

¹⁴ That we henceforth (may) be no more (no longer) children (not old enough to speak), tossed to and fro (surging about as waves), and carried about (borne hither and thither) with every wind (air in motion) of doctrine (the doctrine), by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

2 Peter 1:20-21

²⁰ Knowing this first, that (absolutely) no prophecy of the scripture is (born or become) of any private (ones own individual) interpretation.

²¹ For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

Ephesians 4:17-24

¹⁷ This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity (folly, emptiness, fruitless) of their mind,

²³ And be renewed (implies that the whole course of life now flows in a different direction) in the spirit (your spirit, decisions and actions) of your mind (reflective consciousness);

²⁴ And that ye put on the new man (the new spiritual nature, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.
