Teaching 3:2 – Satified by what your mouth produces

A MAN SHALL EAT GOOD BY WHAT’S PRODUCED FROM HIS MOUTH

Pr 13:2 “A man shall eat good by the fruit of his mouth, but the soul of transgressors shall eat violence.”

What is produced by your lips is either good for you or bad for you. If you want to eat well or enjoy what is produced, be mindful of your mouth and what kind of fruit it’s producing. Is it sweet? Easily entreated? Conversely, is it bitter or acidic? You can decide what fruit you produce.

BE SATISFIED

Pr 12:14 “A man shall be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth, and the recompense of a man’s hands shall be rendered unto him.”

Most people seek and search out how to be satisfied in life… constantly searching for the next thing that gives them pleasure, albeit temporarily. Do you want to know what will actually SATISFY you? What will keep you satisfied with good? The FRUIT of what your mouth produces. Produce good fruit and be satisfied with good.

I’d also like to note separately, and this has nothing to do with this teaching, the second half of this verse “and the recompense of a man’s hands shall be rendered unto him.” You will be recompensed or paid for the work you do with your hands.. you will also be recompense or paid for you work you don’t do. When we work, and when we are supposed to be working, it is God that recompenses or pays us. Nothing is hid from Him. Therefore, work when you are to work and even if it doesn’t feel like you’re making enough or being paid enough… know you are working and it’s God who’s paying you. Therefore, be content in your present situation… God KNOWS…

SATISFIED BY YOUR MOUTH AND BEING FILLED – 2

Pr 18:20 “A man’s belly shall be satisfied by the fruit of his mouth, and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled.”

What comes out of your mouth shall be and is directly related to your well being. What your mouth produces is what you shall be filled with. If it produces good, that’s what you shall eat… if you want to be blessed and satisfied, produce blessed and satisfying fruit.. therefore, be mindful of what comes out of your mouth.

It’s obviously very important what comes out of your mouth… what’s equally important is how much you speak. I find this concept difficult because it’s contrary to my nature… however, it’s written and therefore should be hearkened.

IN THE MULTITUDE OF WORDS : ERROR

Pr 10:19 “In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin: but he that refraineth his lips is wise.

He that uses a multitude of words is more likely to error. Peter, one of the 12 apostles, spoke the most… guess who erred the most? Peter. Conversely, “he that refraineth his lips is wise”. If you hold back your lips, your wise. Be mindful of how many words come out of your mouth.

Ec 5:3 “For a dream cometh through the multitude of business; and a FOOLS voice is known by the multitude of words”

A fool is the opposite of the wise… if you’d like to be a fool and have a fools voice, it’ll be known by the how much you speak. Don’t be a fool, be wise.

FOOLISH ACTIONS VS WISE ACTIONS

Pr 17:27 “He that hath knowledge (knowledge of God) spareth his words: and a man of understanding (understands what’s evil and good) is of an excellent (or quiet) spirit.”

Pr 17:28 “Even a fool, when he holders his peace , is counted wise: and he that shutteth his lips is esteemed a man of understanding (understanding what’s good and bad).”

Those who believe in God and have the knowledge of him will spare his words…. A man who understands good from evil has a disposition of a quiet spirit.. not a loud spirit. It’s evident, even with the unbelievers… it’s fact, that even when a foolish or ignorant person holds his tongue, the people around him will consider him or that person wise. A person who shutteth their lips will be esteemed or thought of a person of understanding.

Be considered wise.. be full of the knowledge of God.. try to keep your mouth shut and be mindful of what comes out of it.

Finally, be mindful how you speak

HEALTHY SPEACH VS PIERCING WORDS

Pr 12:18 “There is that speaketh like the piercing of a sword: but the tongue of the wise health.”

Piercing of a sword: sharp stabs, piercing stabs… I think of it as multiple piercings… There are many, many times I do this. If I get angry or heated, my words are sharp, hurtful… at least, that’s what I’ve been told… Yet, if you’re wise.. your words should produce health… health to who’s listening. It should build that person up… not cut them.
