8-13-To-Judge-Don't-put-occasion-to-fall-brothers-way-01

To Judge: Don’t put an occasion to fall in your brother’s way

Don’t put an occasion to fall in your brother’s way

Romans 14:4

Who art thou that judgest another man’s servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God (the Lord) is able to make him stand (hold him up).

Romans 14:2-3

For one believeth that he may eat all things: another, who is weak (not strong), eateth herbs.

Let not him that eateth despise (treat as contemptible) him that eateth not; and let not him which eateth not judge him that eateth: for God hath received him.

He that regardeth (observeth) the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks.

For none of us (no man) liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself.

For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living.

10 But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought (despise) thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of (the) Christ.

11 For it is written, As I live (by myself I have sworn), saith the Lord (master Jahovah), every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.

12 So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.

13 Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock (cause to stumbling, that which causes to error) or an occasion to fall in his brother’s way.

Godly grief works a change in moral position

2 Corinthians 7:10

10 For godly sorrow (grief) worketh (to work out) repentance (a real change of mind from sin itself; a change of moral thought, a change from the sin nature to the spiritual nature) to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.

Romans 14:13

13 Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock (cause to stumbling, that which causes to error) or an occasion to fall in his brother’s way.

Don’t search your own glory

Proverbs 25:27

27 It is not good to eat much honey: so for men to search their own glory is not glory.
