Faith: Jesus Christ bought us out from servitude

Jesus Christ bought us out from servitude – Galations 4:1-7

Galations 4:1-7

Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all;

But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father.

Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage (enslaved) under the elements (elementary rules) of the world (kosmos: the arrangement):

But when the fulness of the time was come (came), God sent forth his Son, made (to come into existence) of a woman, made under the law,

To redeem (to buy out) them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons (sonships).

And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit (new spiritual nature) of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.

Wherefore thou art no more (no longer) a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of (through) God through Christ.

Galations 5:1

Stand fast therefore in the liberty (freedom to go where one will) wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage (servitude).

Romans 3:20-24 and 28

20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified (set forth as righteous) in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

21 But now the righteousness of God without (apart from) the law is manifested (made visible, made openly known), being witnessed by the law and the prophets;

22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference (distinction):

23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

24 Being justified (set forth as righteous) freely (as a free gift) by his grace through the redemption (deliverance of the soul from sin) that is in (resting within) Christ Jesus:

28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified (set forth as righteous) by faith without the deeds of the law.
