How we are to walk

Ephesians 4:1-16

4 I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,

2 With all lowliness (humility) and meekness (enduring with an even temper), with longsuffering, forbearing one another in (resting within) love;

3 Endeavouring (studying) to keep the unity (oneness) of the Spirit (holy spirit) in (resting within) the bond (that which is bound together) of peace (the state of undisturbed well being)..

4 There is one body, and one Spirit (new spiritual nature), even as ye are called in one hope (expectation of future good) of your calling;

5 One Lord (messiah), one faith, one baptism,

6 One God (Theo) and Father of all, who is above (with dignity and power) all, and through (dividing) all, and in (resting within) you all.

7 But unto every one of us is (was) given (the) grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.

We are called into positions in the body

11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

13 Till we all come in the unity (oneness) of the faith (believing), and of the (perfect) knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect (complete) man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

Don’t be swayed back and forth in your mind

14 That we henceforth be no more children (not old enough to speak), tossed to and fro (surging about “as waves”), and carried about with every wind of doctrine (teachings), by the sleight (entrapping by deceit) of men, and cunning craftiness (with subtlety), whereby they lie in wait to deceive;

15 But speaking the truth (Lit. “Truthing it”) in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:

16 (out from) From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.

Change the course of your life into the spiritual

23 And be renewed (implies the the whole course of life now flows in a different direction) in the spirit of your mind;

24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.
