Make your course of life rest in the new spiritual nature – Galations 5:16-18; Galatians 5:22-26

Galations 5:16-18

¹⁶ This I say then, Walk (course of life) in the Spirit (new spiritual nature), and ye shall not fulfil the lust (sinful desire) of the flesh (by nature).

¹⁷ For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary (lie opposite) the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.

¹⁸ But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under (beneath) the law.

Galatians 5:22-26

²² But the fruit of the Spirit (holy spirit) is love (agape: love irrespective of rights), joy (gladness), peace (rest, an undisturbed state of wellbeing), longsuffering (patience from being angry), gentleness (goodness as to people), goodness (ruled by good, moral worth), faith (a firm reliance or believing what you hear from God),

²³ Meekness (even temper; tender), temperance (self restraint, dominion over the flesh) : against such there is no law.

²⁴ And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections (passions) and lusts.

²⁵ If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit (new spiritual nature).

²⁶ Let us not be desirous of vain (empty as to glory) glory, provoking one another, envying one another.
