Hebrews 4:12-16
12 For the word (logos: spoken word) of God is quick (living), and powerful (powerful and effectual in operation), and sharper than (above) any twoedged sword, piercing (passing through) even to the dividing asunder (the act of dividing) of soul and spirit (not only differentiating between those carnal and spiritual things created, but also between the natural man and the spiritual man), and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner (skilled in judging) of the thoughts (secret motives and emotional thoughts of the mind) and intents (what is in the mind) of the heart (the seat of one’s distinctive character).
13 Neither is there any creature (created thing) that is not manifest (made apparent and visible) in his sight (before his eyes): but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do (is our account).
14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.
15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without (apart from) sin.
16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne (seat of authority) of grace (inclining disposition), that we may obtain mercy (active compassion), and find grace (inclining disposition) to help in time (seasonal time) of need.
