4-5-righteousness-counted-grace-01

Righteousness is counted by grace

Righteousness is counted by grace

Born of God doth not commit sin

1 John 3:6 and 1 John 3:9

Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.

Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth (abideth) in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

Abraham the father of the Jews

Romans 4:1

What shall we say then that Abraham our father, as pertaining to the flesh, hath found?

Gods Covenant to Abram/Abraham – He would be a God to Abraham and his seed during their ages

Genesis 17:7

And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee.

Romans 4:2

For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not before God.

For if Abraham were justified by works, he has something to boast about, but not before God

For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.

Abraham believed God and it was counted to him for righteousness

Genesis 15:6

And he believed in the Lord; and he counted it to him for righteousness.

Justified or set forth as righteous by GRACE not DEBT

Romans 4:4

Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned (counted) of grace, but of debt.

Ephesians 2:4 – 9

But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,

Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)

And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:

That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Righteousness is counted by grace

Romans 4:4-16

Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned (counted) of grace, but of debt.

But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth (counteth) righteousness without works,

Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities (violations of the law) are forgiven, and whose sins are covered (covered over / hidden).

Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute (count) sin.

Cometh this blessedness then upon the circumcision only, or upon the uncircumcision also? for we say that faith was reckoned to Abraham for righteousness.

10 How was it then reckoned? when he was in circumcision, or in uncircumcision? Not in circumcision, but in uncircumcision.

11 And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had yet being uncircumcised: that he might be the father of all them that believe, though they be not circumcised; that righteousness might be imputed (counted) unto them also:

12 And the father of circumcision to them who are not of the circumcision only, but who also walk in the steps of that faith of our father Abraham, which he had being yet uncircumcised.

13 For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of faith.

14 For if they which are of the law be heirs, faith is made void, and the promise made of none effect:

15 Because the law worketh wrath: for where no law is, there is no (neither) transgression (violation).

16 Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all,

Knowing Him.

2 Peter 1:2

Grace (pleasing disposition) and peace (undisturbed wellbeing) be multiplied (make you full) unto you through of (through the instrument) the knowledge (having a personal and true relationship and being acquainted with) God, and of Jesus our Lord,

Righteousness is counted by grace
