Walk in light and joy

Walk in light and joy

Ephesians 2:11-22

11 Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands;

12 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:

13 But now in (resting within) Christ Jesus ye who sometimes (once) were far off are (were) made nigh (made close) by the blood of Christ.

14 For he is our peace, who hath (having) made both one (Jews and Gentiles), and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;

15 Having abolished (done away with) in his flesh the enmity (the hatred), even the law of commandments contained in ordinances (dogmatic commandments); for to make in himself of twain (of the two) one new man, so making peace;

16 And that he might reconcile (bring together) both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:

17 And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh.

18 For through (the dividing line) him we both have (the) access by one Spirit (holy spirit) unto the Father.

19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household (the domestics) of God;

20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;

21 In whom all the building fitly framed (harmoniously fitted together) together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:

22 In whom ye also are builded together (being built in together) for an habitation (abode) of God through the Spirit (holy spirit).

We are light as opposed to darkness

Ephesians 5:8-10

For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:

(For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)

10 Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.

Ephesians 5:19-21

19 Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;

20 Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;

21 Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear (reverential awe) of God (Christ).
