Walk by the new spiritual nature

Galations 5:16

¹⁶ This I say then, Walk in the (by) Spirit (new spiritual nature), and ye shall not fulfil the lust (sinful desire) of the flesh (fleshly nature).

¹⁷ For the flesh lusteth (sinful desire) against the Spirit (new spiritual nature), and the Spirit (new spiritual nature) against the flesh (fleshly nature): and these are contrary (lie in opposition) the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.

¹⁸ But if ye be led of the Spirit (new spiritual nature), ye are not under (beneath) the law.

¹⁹ Now the works (the thing produced) of the flesh (fleshly nature) are manifest (apparent, visible), which are these; Adultery, fornication (sexual immorality), uncleanness, lasciviousness (excess, immoderations, wantoness),

²⁰ Idolatry, witchcraft (the act of enchanting using formulas or drugs, raising spirits), hatred, variance (strife, quarrels), emulations (jealousness), wrath, strife (factitious), seditions (divisions), heresies,

²¹ Envyings (jealousy of one’s success; depreciation of one’s worth; envy of one’s excellence, envy led to the first murder – Cain and Able), murders, drunkenness, revellings (partying after dinner – used of the partying for Bacchus (the Greek God of wine, agriculture, fertility, drama)), and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit (a portion of inheritance) the kingdom of God.

²² But the fruit of the Spirit (holy spirit)is love (agape-the highest form of love, love irrespective of rights), joy (gladness), peace (a state of undisturbed well being, rest), longsuffering (patient from being angry), gentleness (goodness to people), goodness (ruled by good or moral thought), faith (believing),

²³ Meekness (free from haughtiness), temperance (self control, dominion over the flesh): against such there is no law.

²⁴ And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections (passions) and lusts.

²⁵ If we live in the Spirit (new spiritual nature), let us also walk in the Spirit (new spiritual nature).
